Public Vs. Private School Education

September 22nd, 2004 Posted in Uncategorized

Booker Rising’s moderator quotes from a recent Fordham Institute study that finds that public school teachers are almost twice as likely as other parents to choose private schools for their children.

This is hypocritical to say the least on the behalf of the NEA. This sends a mixed message to parents that want to do the same thing, but are scorned by the NEA. Booker Rising’s moderator chimes in:

So it’s OK for teachers’ union folks to send their kids to private school, but they want to deny Shaniqua Johnson the right to do the same for her kids via school vouchers? Elitist and shameful.
