Maybe some American dads need spidey’s help too

Do you remember a while back in the news hearing about some men dressing up like Spiderman and scaling things like bridges, buildings, etc.? Many of us dismissed these guys as a bunch of wackos trying to get some attention. But if you took the time to hear there message, you will soon discover that their message was very serious.
The group of men these guys belong to several organizations: Fathers 4 Justice, Men In Black, and others.
Here is the website: http://www.fathercare.org
These are fathers who have been victimized by the court system in the UK—denied access to their kids while at the same time being sucked dry of all of their resources in the name of child support. I tell you what, there tactics may seem a little loopy, but if a father really loves his children, there is no telling what lengths he will go. I love this kind of stuff–no shame for the ones you love!
Sean Combs has been having similar troubles. He recently ranted about it:
======
Sean “P. Diddy” Combs recently blasted a court ruling that ordered him to pay over $250,000 annually in child support.
“This is not about the money,” Combs told New York’s Daily News. “This is about me as a father. And this is not about my son. My child is being used. There’s a scam that’s going on.”
…”To go and have a judge order me to do it as if I’ve been a bad father is unfair. A court doesn’t have to tell me what to do to support my child. It’s disrespectful,” Diddy explained. “It’s saying I don’t take care of my kids. To put me in this position, when I feel I’ve even been a shining example as a father … it’s ludicrous. It’s ridiculous. It’s so insulting. I know I’m talking very passionately, but I take care of all my children. It’s endless. It’s priceless. Whatever they need.”
…Combs has another son, Christian, 7, with model Kim Porter. Diddy and Porter split when he began a relationship with actress Jennifer Lopez, but later reunited. He still pays $12,000 in monthly child support (more…)
======
Now you may not like his videos, may not like the fact that most of the women on his video are of a lighter shade, despise the fact that he has kids from different women, but there is absolutely justification for him to have to pay one woman $250k a year for child support and still pay another woman $12k per year. This is the kind of stuff that I have been talking about on this site: Penalizing the rich pay simply because they are rich.
The sad thing about it is that Combs isn’t the only one. There are plenty of other men out there who are getting shafted like this. It would really be great to see some kind of initiative here in the states similar to that in the UK (minus the costumes). In order to be effective, it would have to have the support of men from all backgrounds.
