The real reason why processed meats are so dangerous to your health (newstarget.com)

August 25th, 2005 Posted in Uncategorized

The first problem is found in the fats of these processed meats. The problem isn’t the fat molecules themselves, but rather the toxic chemicals, heavy metals and environmental pollutants that are found inside those fat molecules.

You see, fat tissues — whether in a cow or a human — tend to concentrate whatever pollutants are found in the mainstay diet of the animal. A cow eats literally tons of grass in its lifetime, and in doing so, it collects and concentrates low-level pollutants found in its diet. For non-organic beef, it’s quite common to find trace amounts of heavy metals (mercury, cadmium), pesticides, and even PCBs. That’s because, for non-organic beef, feed practices are rather horrifying. You’d be shocked to learn what’s perfectly legal to feed to cows intended for human consumption. (more…)

I have been studying this type of info. for about 8 years now and its true that what we eat and how much is driving us to the grave at earlier ages. Consider that the bible had people who lived over hundreds of years, what were they doing that we aren’t. I think the answer lies in us being more responsible for what we put into our mouthes. Also being aware that the fools saling the foods we eat are more often than not money motivated and that thought alone they feel gives them the right to kill us off in this manner. Educate yourselves black folks and stop being led to the grave by a nation that historically has not given a dam about preserving life especially ours.

Very good article. I wish more black people would take heed to this information…
