Urban Promise
The UrbanPromise HomeSchool Academy is a full-time private high school focusing on the needs of young people who are not realizing their academic potential in public education.
Fact: Of an incoming high school freshman class in Camden Public Schools, 50% will drop out before graduating. Of the remaining 50%, only 4% wil go on to a four-year college or university. Of this 4%, less than 1% will graduate.
Fact: UrbanPromise HomeSchool Academy graduates have all gone onto attend post-secondary schools.
What is Urban Promise?
UrbanPromise is a 15-year-old ministry to the children and youth of Camden.
Its mission is to equip children and young adults with the skills necessary for spiritual growth, academic achievement, life management and Christian leadership. (more…)
