On the port situation…

“I’m with the President on this one, and I think this among a number of issues demonstrates the difference between himself, the party, various conservative ideologues and the hoi polloi of the Right. So let me say it straight out, all of the objections to the sale of P&O to Dubai Ports is reactionary bigotry hiding behind a mask of security consciousness.” (Michael D. Cobb Bowen–more)

  3. My goodness Duane here you go again.

Why are you be distracted with this nonsense about Bigotry?

Are you aware that just a few months back, China was stopped from purchasing a US engery company Unocal. The company, Cnooc, was owned by the Chinese government, and the issue raised against the sale was national security. No one called it bigotry when China was involved and national security was the reason.

Take off your blinders and look at what is truly happening here. America is being sold off by capitalists of which Bush is one of the biggest. He and his cronies do not want anything interferring with the transactions of multiconglomerates to buy and purchase anything globally.

So the issue here is TRADE and more importantly unfettered global capitalism.

This UAE group is a major investor in the Carlye group to the tune of 6 billion and one of the major shareholders in Carlye group is the Bush family (might as well call them a cartel) Bush is backing this deal because it is personally profitable for him to do so.

The US was built on capitalism and that is how it is going to fall as well. Capitalists, are selling off the basic infrastructure of America, banks, mfgring both textile and auto, transportaion, shipping are all being purchased by foreign companies

What is happening here is our government is being bankrolled by foreign money. China and the Saudi’s are buying up most our money and that is contributing to our whopping trade and budget deficits.

So bigotry is the red herring to blind ppl who are easily distracted to what is going on.

Although, I do not agree with much that he says, on this, Pat Buchanan was right about the dynamics of free trade.

America is losing the trade game and badly.

If you agree with Bush on this why stop with ports, since it is a global economy we might as well:

Turn the Federal Reserve over to the Chinesse, they”ll go out of their way to protect the billions of dollars they’ve invested in the US economy

    or how about

Immigration Enforcement, let’s outsource it to the government of Mexico. No one understands our border better than the Mexicans

    or what about

Congress, let’s outsource it to the Canadian Parliament. They”ve found a way to have national health insurance and balance the budget

    last but not least

    The White House

turn it over to the Baptists, they’re running the place anyway
