Some years ago I looked at the pump and noticed that (at least here in Colorado) it showed federal, state and local tax per gallon of gas. It equaled at that time 40 cents of the price of one gallon of gas. Another thing to do would be to suspend, no end, the requirements on gas blends. I’ve been suggesting this for years.
