My son was breast fed. He is in the 90% in weight and 95% in length.

My MIL has issues with breast feeding. She said he wasn't getting enough and we should go to formula. Later, she said the breast milk was too fatty and we needd to go to formula.

I don't understand it.

Every mother is given one thing that should guide them. Mother's intuition. I brest feed my son despite all the nay sayers. And yes my doctor told me my son was under weight. Luckily my doctor explained to me that as long as he stayed on the same scale. (meaning he was consistently growing and no losing weight) then he was fine. I nursed my baby until he was done. More women and black especially need to learn more about brest feeding and its benefits. Damn scientist.
