If you think that May 1st is a random day that was chosen by the pro-ILLEGAL immigration crowd, think again. “May day” as it commonly called is a day widely recognized as a time of commemoration for the socialist and communist agenda.

International Workers’ Day (a name used interchangably with May Day) is the commemoration of the Haymarket Riot of 1886 in Chicago, Illinois, and a celebration of the social and economic achievements of the international labor movement. The 1 May date is used because in 1884 the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions, inspired by labor’s 1872 success in Canada, demanded an eight-hour workday in the United States to come in effect as of May 1, 1886. This resulted in a general strike and the riot in Chicago of 1886, but eventually also in the official sanction of the eight-hour workday. The May Day Riots of 1894 and May Day Riots of 1919 occurred subsequently.

Due to these left-wing overtones, May Day has long been a focal point for demonstrations by various socialist, communist, and anarchist groups. In some circles, bonfires are lit in commemoration of the Haymarket Riot usually right as the first day of May begins. Okay, let’s stop right here for a while. Let us take a closer look at Ramsey Clark:

• supervised the federal presence at Ole Miss during the week following the admission of James Meredith;
• surveyed all school districts in the South desegregating under court order (1963);
• supervised federal enforcement of the court order protecting the march from Selma to Montgomery; and
• headed the Presidential task force to Watts following the riots.
• supervised the drafting and executive role in passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and Civil Rights Act of 1968.

Sounds okay so far. Now let’s look at his recent activity:

More recently, Clark has become controversial for his political views and publications. He has also provided legal counsel and advice to controversial figures, including:

• Nazi War criminal Jack Reimer, charged in the killings of Jews in Warsaw.
• The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws Advisory Board during late 1970s and early 1980s

• Antiwar activist Father Philip Berrigan
• Political figure Lyndon Larouche
• American Indian prisoner Leonard Peltier
• Crimes of America conference in Tehran in 1980
• Liberian political figure Charles Taylor during his 1985 fight against extradition from the United States to Liberia
• Elizaphan Ntakirutimana, a leader in the Rwandan genocide
• PLO leaders in a lawsuit brought by the family of Leon Klinghoffer.
• Camilo Mejia, a US soldier who deserted his post in March 2004 in protest against the US war against Iraq.
• Radovan Karadžić, accused Yugoslav war criminal.

To Reiterate
For my black brothas and sistahs who need to see the “black angle” in all of this, I’ll highlight a few of the folks mentioned above– Clark has unashamedly aligned himself with the likes of Ntakirutimana (a leader in the Rwandan genocide), Charles Taylor (”The former warlord-turned-president is accused of supporting the Revolutionary United Front rebels during Sierra Leone’s decade-long civil war. The rebel group was notorious for training child solders who went on to torture, rape, and in thousands of cases amputate the hands and feet of their civilian victims.”–more), and Nazis.

Yet despite all of this factual information, millions of folks (including my own) will align themselves with this type of individual on issues that fall in line with their percieved “status of victimhood”. I call this “willing ignorance“. Many of these same individuals will go through hell and high water to make the connection between Bush and Cheney and oil companies, but loose interest in connecting the dots behind those individuals who claim to speak for us.

Now let’s look at the Workers World Party:

The WWP describes itself as a party that has, since its founding, “supported the struggles of all oppressed peoples. It has recognized the right of nations to self-determination, including the nationally oppressed peoples inside the United States. It supports affirmative action as absolutely necessary in the fight for equality. It opposes all forms of racism and religious bigotry.”(source)

This is classic Lenin and Marx. Needless to say, this is also history repeating itself. While these groups will hold up countries such as North Korea, Cuba and China as “symbols of progress”, they will quickly dismiss the factual proof, backed by the corpses of millions who have died in these countries due to persecution as mere historical “glitches”.

iF CUBAN HEALTHCARE IS SO GOOD, WHY ARE THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS WILLING TO SWIM AWAY FROM IT?

FOR A NATION MADE UP OF A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF BLACKS, WHY ARE MOSTLY LIGHT-SKINNED CUBANS IN GOVERNMENT?

WHAT ABOUT THE PLIGHT OF AFRO IRAQIS UNDER SADDAM RULE?

These are just some of the questions black Americans need to start asking regarding our alignments with groups who claim to have OUR best interests at heart.

Here’s a quick factoid:

Hopefully I have provided you with enough information to help you to understand that the planned “May day” protests for ILLEGAL immigration is one that has deep roots in an ideology that has historically been deadly to those that perceive themselves as victims.

I may try to add more to the post later. Stay tuned!

As I briefly mentioned earlier, this “joining of the masses” (black, brown, yellow, etc.) to rally behind a common cause is not new according to history. Here is a little story that I will leave with you for now that serves as a allegory to everything that I have covered in this post:

The story takes place on a farm somewhere in England. The story is told by an all-knowing narrator in the third person. The action of this novel starts when the oldest pig on the farm, Old Major, calls all animals to a secret meeting. He tells them about his dream of a revolution against the cruel Mr Jones. Three days later Major dies, but the speech gives the more intelligent animals a new outlook on life. The pigs, who are considered the most intelligent animals, instruct the other ones. During the period of preparation two pigs distinguish themselves, Napoleon and Snowball. Napoleon is big, and although he isn’t a good speaker, he can assert himself. Snowball is a better speaker, he has a lot of ideas and he is very vivid. Together with another pig called Squealer, who is a very good speaker, they work out the theory of “Animalism”. The rebellion starts some months later, when Mr Jones comes home drunk one night and forgets to feed the animals. They break out of the barns and run to the house, where the food is stored. When Mr Jones sees this he takes out his shotgun, but it is too late for him; all the animals fall over him and drive him off the farm. The animals destroy all whips, nose rings, reins, and all other instruments that have been used to suppress them. The same day the animals celebrate their victory with an extra ration of food. The pigs make up the seven commandments, and they write them above the door of the big barn.
They run thus:

1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings is a friend.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
6. No animal shall kill another animal.
7. All animals are equal.

The animals also agree that no animal shall ever enter the farmhouse, and that no animal shall have contact with humans. This commandments are summarised in the simple phrase: “Four legs good, two legs bad”. After some time, Jones comes back with some other men from the village to recapture the farm. The animals fight bravely, and they manage to defend the farm. Snowball and Boxer receive medals of honour for defending the farm so bravely. Also Napoleon, who had not fought at all, takes a medal. This is the reason why the two pigs, Snowball and Napoleon, often argue. When Snowball presents his idea to build a windmill, to produce electricity for the other animals, Napoleon calls nine strong dogs. The dogs drive Snowball from the farm, and Napoleon explains that Snowball was in fact co-operating with Mr Jones. He also explains that Snowball in reality never had a medal of honour, that Snowball was always trying to cover up that he was fighting on the side of Mr Jones. The animals then start building the windmill, and as time passes the working-time goes up, whereas the food rations decline. Although the “common” animals have not enough food, the pigs grow fatter and fatter. They tell the other animals that they need more food, for they are managing the whole farm. Some time later, the pigs explain to the other animals that they have to trade with the neighbouring farms. The common animals are very upset, because since the revolution there has been a resolution that no animal shall trade with a human. But the pigs ensure them that there never has been such a resolution, and that this was an evil lie of Snowball. Shortly after this decision the pigs move to the farmhouse. The other animals remember that there is a commandment that forbids sleeping in beds, and so they go to the big barn to look at the commandments. When they arrive there they can’t believe their eyes, the fourth commandment has been changed to: “No animal shall sleep in bed with sheets”. And the other commandments have also been changed: “No animal shall kill another animal without reason”, and “No animal shall drink alcohol in excess”. Some months later a heavy storm destroys the windmill, which is nearly finished. Napoleon accuses Snowball of destroying the mill, and he promises a reward to the animal that gets Snowball. The rebuilding of the mill takes two years. Again Jones attacks the farm, and although the animals defend it, the windmill is once again destroyed. The pigs decide to rebuild the mill again, and they cut down the food rations to a minimum. One day Boxer breaks down. He is sold to a butcher, but Napoleon tells the pigs that Boxer has been brought to a hospital where he has died. Three years later, the mill is finally completed. During this time Napoleon deepens the relations with the neighbouring farm, and one day Napoleon even invites the owners of this farm for an inspection. They sit inside the farmhouse and celebrate the efficiency of his farm, where the animals work very hard with a minimum of food. During this celebration, all the other animals meet at the window of the farm, and when they look inside they can’t distinguish between man and animal.
