Not a muslim, but the Honorable Elijah Muhummad hit it right on the head. One of the saddest points in the Black Hair DVD states the number of Korean-owned stores right in Chicago, same location as Farrakahn Hdqtrs--one Korean owned store opened right next door to a Fruit of Islam Bakery--The Nation's Black economic plan has been drooped and dropped.--Interesting enough we seem to want to act like the photo that carried press all around the world with Dr. King getting on the bus with the money in his hand after the boycott was not the beginning of our economic graveyard---Southern leadership did not take the whole ball of wax for owndership, but settled for crumbs. We had our own Civil War and the South won. We got hoodwinked. The next time Julian Bond gets on TV, groomed, fly and cool, simply write in and ask Mr. Bond after all these years & "accomplishments" why doesn't the NAACP still not own a chain of Black-owned Hotels, Sylvan Learning Centers, Manufacturers--church choir robes, prison towels, or Beauty Supply Stores? I’m glad that I’m not the only one that thinks along those lines. Where I’m from, there are a lot of very small black businesses in black communities that barely get by. Or you have businesses in black communities who’s facilites are sub-par but we still shop there.

How do we reinstill pride into our community and show people the value of shopping from black businesses, and/or not shopping at dumps that sell products?
