More than 40 percent of Baltimore County high school students did not earn a passing score on the English II section of the state’s High School Achievement test, according to information presented at last night’s school board meeting.Of the nearly 8,700 county high school students who took the test, slightly less than 42 percent did not receive a passing score. Again, why comment??

The teachers union have be the biggest problem in our current public education system. 1st year teachers in Chicago make $38,000 with a BS $40+ with a masters(no experience). They work from 7:45 am to 2:30 pm. no weekends or holidays. A week off in the spring, 2 weeks in the winter and 2 1/2 months in the summer. They have very little accountable in regard to our children. Our children are socially promoted and are not prepared for higher education. Please teachers need to wake up and release that things could be worse. They could be forced to do their jobs.
