since none of my posts to this site are ever posted

They are never posted because of one of two reasons:

1 - You are getting error messages from my server (a problem that I am still working on)

2 - You do not leave any comments.

If its #1, after typing in your comment, highlight it and copy it (just in case you get the "500 internal server message" again. Try it again and it should work.

Sorry, but I am a bit confused

Then why comment because your comment clearly added no substance. Please give it another try.

Sorry, but I am a bit confused on the topic since none of my posts to this site are ever posted, but local media comes up with my insights anyway. (And not just in this hole.)

Reign in your own clowns (if you can) before you go pointing fingers at the other "groups" of so called journalists white and black and others.

The Texas chapter of the NAACP is actively involved with the Cotton case.

Unless Gary Waite is with the ACLU, the article mentions nothing of this claim.

Sepialove,

Will do.

There is alot of information from the DA's side that has been banded about as FACT on this case. If you want TRUTH, listen to my interview with Ms. Cotton and Brenda Cherry, the founder of the Concerned Citizens for Racial Equality.

http://www.dryerbuzz.com/ (Especially listen to the interview w/ Allan Hubbard - DA's Media Rep)

Mr. Hubbard says one thing to the Black community, yet says something else to the WIDER community.

Truth is TRUTH and it doesn't have a color.

Be blessed,

Sepialove

No appeal filed on behalf of the case has yet to be heard by the courts.

And... Ms. Cotton's mother refused to accept Shaquanda plea to a lesser charge as a condition of sentencing the girl to probation.

This article answered some questions I had about the case. Why did they reject the plea? Did they actually think they would get off? What was the racial make-up of the jury?

The fact that they compare her case to the arson case weakens their argument in my opinion. The girl that burned down here family’s house got probation because she took the plea bargain. Cotton didn’t take the plea and now she wants a “do over.” It’s not that simple and to be honest she is guilty of the crime in which she is charged.

Case like this spark conservations that may not have been had before until it was too late. I can’t say that she was a problem child but under the law she is a felon. We as parents need to keep a closer eye on our kids and their attitudes.

Do we want tough laws with tough sentences? Do we want light sentences? Do we want tough laws with tough sentences unless the accused is a 14 year old black female w/o a criminal record and just sometimes wears short skirts?
