Hairstyle Too Tight?

Traction alopecia is getting media attention, due to the popularity of hair extensions and other potentially damaging hairstyles. An article from the New York Times News Service warns consumers that Tight braids, ponytails can cause permanent hair loss.

Here’s the scoop: Any hairstyle that pulls on the scalp for a long period of time can cause hair loss. The hair loss can be reversed if the hairstyle is changed in time… but prolonged wear can lead to permanent loss. (more…)

    Thanks. Finding a braider that doesn’t braid too tightly is hard find though.
