It's childish to bring up McCains preacher friends but perfectly fine to bring up everyone Obama has ever been associated with? That makes perfect con sense...

No McCain does not go to their church but he did actively reached out (i.e. begged) for their support and refuses to reject it. And he is using the very same lines Obama attempted to use for trying not to denounce them. How is that any better? He doesn't even have a personal relationship with them, so it should be even easier for him to denounce them right???... And (off topic) does McCain even have a church home?? If so should reporters be showing up to services at his church recording every word of his sermons and harassing its members? Should candidates going forward have to fill out preacher survey? Do we need a preacher litmus test?

And what you refuse to acknowledge is that being a member of a church does not mean you agree with everything that comes out the preacher's mouth? Do you cosign everything that your preacher has said for the past 30 yrs? If so that sounds a little cult-ish to me...

Also the point of bringing up Parsley and Hagee is to point out that what Wright said is not that much different than what a LOT of black and evangelical preachers say many, many times. And if cons try this line of attack in the fall I think it will backfire.

Wizz,

If you and the rest of Democrats/Liberals want to invest the little time you have before the general election to build up a case against McCain's relationship with Hagee and Rod Parsley, knock yourself out. What is really unsurprising is how you cannot and will not concede that unlike McCain, Obama was an actual MEMBER of his church for 20 years. Also, he was married by Wright, children baptized by Wright, named his book after one of his sermons, placed him on his campaign website, and when the other side of Wright hit the media, Obama defended him by saying "I can no more disown Wright than the Black community." Only when his relationship with Wright began to affect him at the polls did he decide to throw him under the bus. McCain's stuff in the preacher department doesn't even come close.

McCain has enough stuff in his career that you and the rest of the Obama fan base can use to hit him. Focusing on preachers for him is a childish response. Once the general election season is in full swing, you will have more than enough dirt to play with in your sandbox. If McCain continues to whack on members of his own party and its surrogates, trust me, hitting McCain will be a breeze this fall.

Yea... Sense enough to not run behind ANY preacher. I see McCain's multiple preacher problems are finally getting a LITTLE bit of press. Not here though unsurpisingly.

(Talk about media having kid gloves with someone... This guy gets SO many passes it's ridiculous.)

Anyway... ALL preacher's need to be looked at a hell of a lot more closely if you ask me.
